| Adolescent
populations under 24 years of age comprise close
to 50% of the world population. The problems they
face regarding sexual and reproductive health have
become not only an issue of their own generation,
but a priority issue that calls for urgent action
from a global standpoint. However, the action that
has been taken tends to be 'top-down', and not planned
according to the point of view of adolescents. By
listening to their cries, and identifying the problems
they face from around the world, JOICFP's adolescent
SRH programme aims to build on the voices of the
adolescents by urging action. |
