On 6th and 7th February, JOICFP held its second Strategic Meeting to promote reproductive health and rights both domestically and abroad. The first Strategic Meeting was held in 2004, where JOICFP reexamined its mission and core values and revised them to meet contemporary needs.

At a retreat in Tokyo, all JOICFP staff took part in discussions identifying and focusing on core competence and comparative advantages in all of JOICFP's divisions. Emphasis was placed on cross-linkages among the various sections.

Outputs from the meeting will be used in preparing JOICFP's updated strategic framework.
