What are your works exactly?
I am mainly in charge of the projects entrusted by JICA. The contents of the activities are divided into 3 parts, family healthcare , promoting income-generation and livelihood improvement and development of community organizations, all these activities for villagers. .
In between, I was mainly in charge of a part of the activities concerning promoting income-generation and building of community organization. . Positioning family health care as an entry point, increasing health awareness, and we are undergoing activities aimed at improvement of the quality of life finally.
What ’s the staple food in China? What do you usually eat? What do you like the best on the menu?
My favorite is something called Ash Toufu. It is hardened by putting inside the ash and thats why there are ashes on the top. Put it into the pot and boil, it will become chewy boiled toufu. On the other hand, Guizhou is the growing area of dokudami and everyone eat the root of dokudami with spicy seasonings. I like them the most!
It is hard for me to deal with a menu with larvae
Thats just what one expected of Guizhou! Lots of red pepper
Ash ToufuE a special product of Daozhen

So far, what made you touched while staying there?
I received a Miaozu traditional dress from the villager as a present in February 2009, when I was in a village of projected area of Leishan. There are embroideries on it and they mostly wear it in wedding parties and special events. I was touched so much by the feelings that they made the dress as hard as they could with limited sources.

Working on these activities, what is the most important?
Stand by the other and praise, and also listen to the other. Then, it makes things run smoothly when each has good understanding.
What were the happiest message and episode you have there?
Usually, there are many words of gratitude granted by the local people. The most of the project conducted by Chinese government are absolutely based on the top-down method , but we listen to the villagers and aim at starting everything from the viewpoint of the villagers . I dont mean that I criticize the method of Chinese government, but the villagers understood the difference.
Who is the best one you met in the activities? Who is your MVPE
Mr. YuDesheng, the vice director of Population and Family Planning Burearin Leishan. He supported our projects from the beginning and being the center of it. He always stood by the viewpoint of the villagers and built a good relations with the villagers , however, sadly he passed away in November last year at the age of 39. I am still working hard with his power.
