Summary<\/td>\nGender equality and promotion of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in Africa cannot be achieved without the empowerment of youth, where the median age is 19.4 and the birth rate is 4.66. Japan also has many gender and SRHR issues including the lack of a comprehensive sexual education (CSE) and screening by gender at medical school admissions. This side event introduces efforts made by the youth of Africa and Japan in the aim to \u201cpromote gender equality and SRHR\u201d. Importance of youth’s health, continued education, and economic stability to achieve the aim will be discussed.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
