概　要	ジェンダー平等やセクシュアル・リプロダクティブ・ヘルス／ライツ（SRHR）推進は、中位数年齢が19.4歳、出生率が4.66というアフリカにおいて、若者のエンパワーメントなしには成り立たちません。日本でも包括的性教育の遅れや、大学入試での女子差別など、ジェンダーやSRHRの課題は山積しています。本サイドイベントでは「ジェンダー平等とSRHR推進」に向け、アフリカと日本から課題に取り組む若者が登壇し、若者の健康、教育の継続、経済的な安定の重要性などを議論します。

Summary	Gender equality and promotion of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in Africa cannot be achieved without the empowerment of youth, where the median age is 19.4 and the birth rate is 4.66. Japan also has many gender and SRHR issues including the lack of a comprehensive sexual education (CSE) and screening by gender at medical school admissions. This side event introduces efforts made by the youth of Africa and Japan in the aim to “promote gender equality and SRHR”. Importance of youth’s health, continued education, and economic stability to achieve the aim will be discussed.
