On Monday 26 June 2023, 16:30H JST
Co-hosted by the Delegation of European Union to Japan & W7 Japan
Supported by the Gender Equality Bureau, Cabinet Office, Japan

The Delegation of EU to Japan (EUDEL) and Women7 (W7) Japan co-organized “the G7 Gender Equality Ministers and Civil Society Dialogue” on June 26, 2023, as a follow-up to the Gender Equality Ministerial Meeting and as a way forward for the future G7 process.

W7 is one of the official engagement groups for the G7 process. JOICFP has hosted W7 Japan with other Japanese CSOs and youths as the Japan Steering Committee under the Japanese presidency of the G7, while also played a central role of secretariat. EUDEL has supported the W7 Japan from the initial stage of its activity.

All Ministers and representatives who attended the G7 Gender Equality Ministerial Meeting on June 24-25 participated in the dialogue. Right after the official program of the Ministerial Meeting ended in Nikko, they travelled back to EUROPA HOUSE in Tokyo for the event.

The event set a precedent for a dialogue between G7 Gender Equality Ministers and civil society.
