2026.4.20

Women Deliver is one of the world’s leading global conferences focused on advancing gender equality and the health, rights, and well-being of women and girls, including sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). The conference brings together a diverse range of participants—from civil society and youth leaders to government representatives, international organizations, and the private sector—to share knowledge, build partnerships, and drive collective action.

The upcoming Women Deliver 2026 Conference will take place from April 27 to 30 in Melbourne, Australia. This will be the first time the conference is hosted with leadership from the Oceania and Pacific region, highlighting the voices and experiences of local feminists, youth, and Indigenous leaders.

JOICFP, a Japan-based international NGO, will send five staff members to participate in the conference. Representing advocacy, international and domestic programs, and marketing, the delegation aims to learn from global best practices, enhance partnerships, and apply new insights to accelerate SRHR promotion in the communities the organization serves.

In addition, JOICFP will actively share its own experiences and perspectives from Japan and its program countries, contributing to global dialogue and collaboration.

Meet Our Delegates

  • Lead, Advocacy & Programs
    Makoto Yaguchi

Looking forward to joining Women Deliver 2026 and learning from participants. I work on advocacy and community-based efforts in Japan to expand access to SRHR information, contributing to SRHR for all. Keen to exchange ideas and take home fresh perspectives—and a bit of courage. Glad to be back in Melbourne.
  • Senior Advocacy Officer
    Hiromi Kusano

As global backlash against gender equality and SRHR grows stronger, I am heading to Women Deliver with a deep sense of urgency and determination. I want to stand with feminist allies from around the world, learn from their bold strategies, and carry that energy back to Japan, where similar challenges are intensifying. Every connection I make in Melbourne will strengthen my resolve to push back against regressive forces.
In Japan, JOICFP leads the SRHR for ALL Action!, a platform working to build an intersectional movement that leaves no one behind—women and girls, LGBTQ+ people, persons with disabilities, migrant women, and people of all genders. I am eager to share our efforts and to join hands with others fighting for “My Body, My Choice.”
From Melbourne, I want to bring home renewed momentum to advance Sexual and Reproductive Health and Justice for all people, in all their diversity.
  • International Programs Officer
    Ryoko Ward

I work on the implementation and management of SRHR-related projects across low- and middle-income countries in Africa and Asia. My key areas of interest include sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), with a particular focus on gender-based violence (GBV) prevention, adolescent SRHR, maternal and child health (MCH), and strengthening SRHR systems that are resilient to climate change. I am eager to connect with potential donors and partners who share these priorities and are interested in scaling and amplifying our collective impact. I look forward to meeting you at Women Deliver in Australia!
  • Japan Programs Officer
    Mariko Seki

I’m so glad to be part of the Women Deliver 2026 Conference. As a Program Officer, I work on SRHR education and awareness activities for young people under 30 in Japan, as well as supporting youth-led SRHR awareness and advocacy initiatives. I was also previously involved as a peer activist with JOICFP. Through the conference and networking with other participants, I am eager to learn ways to ensure the sustainability of youth initiatives, promote meaningful participation, and develop effective approaches to designing SRHR education curriculum for young people. Looking forward to meeting you in Melbourne!
  • Marketing & Engagement officer
    Momono Kuribayashi

I’m excited to visit Australia for the first time and attend the Women Deliver Conference. As a marketing professional at JOICFP, I work to raise awareness of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) in Japan and expand a strong base of supporters. Through dialogue with participants and exposure to diverse global perspectives, I aim to bring back voices and insights that can inspire greater understanding and engagement in Japan. I am particularly interested in strengthening public outreach and connecting global conversations to local action.
