JOICFP BCC Skills Viewed in International Training
From September to November 2005, four audio-visual technical staff from the Center of Information and Education for Health, Laos, were in Japan studying IEC methods, with a focus on digital production and media, sponsored by JICA.
On 31st October, the four members visited JOICFP to learn about capacity building for effective behavior change communication (BCC) strategy development.
JOICFP informed the visitors about its experiences in community-operated BCC for reproductive health, using case studies from Vietnam, focusing on the Maggie Apron for RH promotion by community womenfs groups, and from Tanzania, focusing on the picture drama The Endless Goodbye for HIV/AIDS prevention activities.
The visitors also studied JOICFPfs Media Communication Studio where they observed JOICFPfs editing suite, and how the DigiPlan database is being developed.

The team receives a briefing on systems used
in JOICFPfs media studio, including editing,
