Young people are recognized as a vital and capable force, and they are encouraged to take responsibility for their wellbeing, such as through Movah!, which assists them to advocate for their ASRH needs.

Educating the Japanese public about the situations and needs of adolescents in developing countries is an important part of JOICFPfs activities.

Since January 2007, JOICFP has a special Youth Task Force made up of members from different divisions who coordinate information and disseminate to the Japanese public.

Cafe Movah! targets Japanese young people and shares information about ASRH overseas.

In addition to stimulating the interest of Japanese youth, the information may cause Japanese youth to think more about their own sexual and reproductive health, such as STIs/HIV/AIDS, condom use, and abortion, in addition to matters like emergency contraception and hormone implants, of which many young Japanese are not aware.

JOICFP works with Japanese youth groups, such as U-COM, the youth committee of the Japan Family Planning Association, and YDP Japan, a network of youth organizations operating in Japan focusing on development and poverty eradication.

JOICFP also advocates to parliamentarians on the need for ODA, including the support it can provide adolescents and youth in developing countries.
