| Community-operated Reproductive
Health (CoRH) is the new concept that JOICFP is currently
promoting. |
| The basic policy when implementing a
project is to focus on the needs of individuals. JOICFP
projects incorporate not only FP but also individual sexuality
and fertility, in other words, reproductive health. |
| Based on this approach of focusing on
individual needs, JOICFP has been promoting community-based
RH projects with the community people's own initiative
in developing countries, since its establishment in 1968.
This has led to a great deal of accumulated experience.
The concept of CoRH was developed on the basis of this
accumulated experience. |
| The feature of CoRH projects is to focus
on individuals, while the implementation of projects is
based on the community. The ultimate goal of projects
is to transform unhealthy individual RH behavior into
a more supportive one, and to create a social environment
that enables individuals to change. |
