Community-operated Reproductive Health Project (CORHP)

Project Objectives
  Overall goal: Reproductive health (RH) status of women improves in project areasProject Purpose: Utilization of Reproductive Health/Family Planning (RH/FP) services increases in line with the government policy of Essential Service Package (ESP)

  Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)
Project Period
  March 16, 2001 – March 15, 2004 (3 years), and one year follow up - until March 31, 2005

Activities
  The CORHP has been implemented jointly by the Family Planning Association of Bangladesh (FPAB) and JOICFP under the JICA Partnership Program. Final evaluation mission from JICA has found CORHP is a good practice of community-based and integrated RH activities with women’s empowerment. And the project has been sustained by FPAB under the IPPF regular program since April 2005 in cooperation with each local government of Panchdona Union, Narsingdhi District and Dhalia Union, Feni District, covering 50,000 population.
