Project Goals
  To rehabilitate the Tsunami affected areas and to facilitate recovery of the vulnerable people in safe motherhood and reproductive health in Banda Aceh, Indonesia
Project Objectives
  1) To increase access to quality reproductive health services for women and young people by resetting the clinic of Indonesian Planned Parenthood Association (IPPA) which provide emergency obstetric care, safe motherhood and family planning in Banda Aceh.
2) To empower in communities especially for the internally displaced women through income generating activities in Banda Aceh.
3) To increase access to quality medical and psychosocial support including reproductive health for internally displaced women, children and young people.

Brief Project Descriptions
  The IPPA Clinic was totally destroyed by Tsunami occurred on 26 December 2005 and it stopped providing the quality obstetric care including the reproductive health services. Tsunami relief and rehabilitation project assisted to reset up a new IPPA Clinic near at the old site with procurements of the medical equipments and office supplies for reopening the services of safe motherhood and emergency obstetric care. Training of peer educators for internally displaced women is conducted. Income generating support and nutrition program with revolving fund are conducted for local women's groups. Training on micro-credit and financial management is also provided to the women’s group members for their sustainable activities to upgrade the standard of living through the community-based ventures of women's groups.
